Director WEMOOSH
Liz Newman
Liz has been working at WEMOOSH since 1988.
As Managing Director, Liz oversees all operations and leadership components of our WEMOOSH sites and staff. Liz works directly with our Management Committee in ensuring that WEMOOSH is always the best services that it can be for our children, our schools, and our wider community.

Kylie Henderson
Kylie has been working at WEMOOSH since 2016.
As Coordinator of WEMOOSH Kylie manages the physical space, liaises with the school, listens to children and their interests, and provides on-the-job professional development to the educators who work with her. Kylie continually strives to self-assess and improve on the development of WEMOOSH East with the aim of Exceeding the National Quality Standard.

Joe’s Philosophy:
I believe in a child-centric approach. I take great care to listen to the children's wants and needs and deliver a program that reflects this. I strive to model behaviours of respect, kindness, attentiveness to others and encourage children to achieve to the best of their abilities.

Stephanie Rochet
Steph's Philosophy:
"I believe that play and providing children with opportunities for play is at the foundation of my philosophy. Play develops self-worth and provides opportunity for children to become what they want to be and what they imagine to be, in a creative and spontaneous way.
"Play promotes the opportunity to develop the child socially and emotionally and provides valuable opportunities for developing life skills.
"Children should be given every opportunity to connect with nature. This allows for children to respond positively to challenges and to manage risk and cope with change.
"I embed the 8 Aboriginal Ways of Learning into my teaching and programming, and value the perspectives and learning that is provided through this framework as it provides a more holistic approach to learning.
"I support your children in becoming environmentally responsible and show respect for the environment.
"Sustainable practices are used in children’s daily routine and used in their day-to-day activities.
"I value diversity; there is no place for bias, inequality, exclusion, discrimination or stereotypical attitudes. I accept each family’s uniqueness and support the family as a whole.
"Over the years, my role at OOSH has changed, but I still believe it is the perfect blend of play and learning. I get to program and use my skills as a teacher to build on children's development and then watch it unfold and observe children having fun and not realise they are learning."
Accounts/ Greeter
Eliza Newman
Eliza is WEMOOSH's Accounts Manager and is always striving to help families manage their accounts. Eliza helps families with any issues that pop up, working directly with the coordinator to iron out any wrinkles that may happen throughout the program. Eliza brings to all of our services a passion for the creative arts and for caring for children, in order to help them learn new skills. Eliza is passionate about sharing community events on our Facebook page, along with helpful resources and information about environmental sustainability. Eliza says that she was lucky enough to attend WEMOOSH as a child and aims to make memories the children will have forever in a place they can also call home, just like she has.
Attendance Manager/Greeter
Kaitlin Russell
Kaitlin has been working at WEMOOSH since 2013.
As WEMOOSH 's Greeter, Kaitlin is the smiling face that families see when they arrive. Kaitlin helps families with any issues that pop up, working directly with the coordinator to iron out any wrinkles that may happen throughout the program. Kaitlin handles the enrolments for all casual and permanent bookings as well as Vacation Care. Kaitlin also helps with Orientations. Kaitlin sits at the Centre Hub and is the heart of the operation.

Grace’s Philosophy:
“My personal philosophy focuses on the holistic view of a child. I believe supporting children’s physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual health is pivotal in education. I strive to provide children with opportunities to explore and discover their potential and have a great sense of belonging within their community. I encourage lifelong learning, and step away from the society norms to create citizens who are empowered to live in a better world”
“I endeavour to educator children on responsibility, to value diversity and to use creativity, collaboration and critical thinking in all they learn. I embed the 8-ways of learning into my programming to ensure cultural understanding and appreciation is achieved.”

Max has just joined the team and is doing his traineeship through WEMOOSH. Max is at WEMOOSH to support, educate and have fun with the children. Max also loves his chickens
